Managing Items
The Items page is your central hub for the products your business buys, sells, or makes. Each step below has a Show me button that lights up the compass on the matching control so you can see exactly where it lives.
Compasses live on the Items page toolbar and column headers, so you can run through the tour from any entity route — the compasses route you to the Items page if you aren't already there.
The tour
1. Go to the Items page
This tour walks through the Items page. The compasses live in the page toolbar and on the column headers.
2. Create new items
Click New Item to add an item to your catalog. The icon button next to it opens Bulk add, where you can paste rows from a spreadsheet to create many items at once.
3. Search items
Search by name, description, or category. Results filter as you type. Combine search with filters to narrow further.
4. Filter items
Open Filters to narrow the list by Category, Supplier, or Area. Combine multiple filters to focus on what you need — open the popover again to change or clear selections.
5. Inventory column
The Inventory column shows current on-hand stock. Items with stock at or below their restock point get a red Order badge; items below the low threshold get a yellow Low badge. Healthy items show just the quantity. When grouped by family, the same status reads off the family's inventory progress bar.
6. Restock Point column
The Restock Point column shows the reorder threshold for the currently selected receiving location. When on-hand stock drops to or below it, the item picks up a red Order badge in the Inventory column. When grouped by family, the restock point appears as a marker line on the family's progress bar. On multi-location entities a second Global Restock Pt column shows the entity-wide threshold.
Tips
- The Cart Qty column on each item row shows what's currently in your cart — handy for double-checking before you submit.
- Click an item's name to open its detail page.
- Use the Group by family toggle in the toolbar to roll variants up under their parent and read inventory off the progress bar.
