To-Dos

To-Dos bring together the work that needs your attention across Peasy. Instead of checking every page, open To-Dos to see tasks, notes, low-stock items, production needs, pending inbound items, count reminders, and integration issues in one place.

How to Get There

Click the To-Dos label near the top of the sidebar to open the full Tasks & Notes page. To open the compact panel instead, click the small icon on the same row — and from the panel, click Open as full page (the expand icon in the panel header) to switch to the full page. When the sidebar is expanded, the red badge shows how many items need attention. When collapsed, a red dot appears on the icon.

Filter Tabs

To-Dos organize items into tabs so you can focus on what matters:

TabWhat it showsColor
AllEverything that needs attention, grouped by action-
BuyItems to purchase, including low-stock restock itemsBlue
MakeProducts to produce and production blockersPurple
PendingItems already on order or in productionOrange
TasksOpen tasks from Tasks & Notes-
NotesOpen notes from Tasks & Notes-
CountItems due for an inventory countRed
SnoozedItems you've snoozed for laterGray
ResolvedCompleted reminders and recently resolved queue entriesGreen

Each queue row shows the item, task, or note name and an action badge such as Buy, Make, or Pending. When you have multiple locations, inventory rows may show the relevant location. Clicking a row opens the right page or detail panel so you can act on it without losing context.

Why Inventory Items Appear

Inventory items appear in To-Dos when pending inventory transactions are taken into account and the projected inventory level falls below the item's Restock Point. In practice, Peasy compares the current inventory level, the net pending inventory for the location, and the Restock Point. If current inventory plus the net pending amount drops below the Restock Point, the item needs attention.

To verify an inventory queue item yourself:

  1. Open the item in the unified item detail panel.
  2. Filter the item's inventory history to Pending inventory transactions.
  3. Filter to the location shown on the flag.
  4. Compare the current inventory level, net pending inventory, and Restock Point.

The math should show that the projected inventory level falls below the Restock Point.

Flagging Restock Items

You can keep an item in your restock workflow by flagging it to restock — click the flag icon on the item's detail panel. If an item is already flagged automatically (because it's below its Restock Point or otherwise needs attention), the flag icon shows that instead and can't be toggled off manually. Manually-flagged items show in To-Dos, and also appear on the Order filter tab on the Buy > Items to buy page, even when the item's on-hand quantity doesn't otherwise trigger the filter — so you can track an item manually before creating a purchase order.

Snoozing Items

If you don't want to act on something right now, you can snooze it. Click the snooze option on a queue row to set a reminder. Snoozed items move to the Snoozed tab and reappear when the snooze period expires.

Red badges appear on sidebar items when something needs your attention:

WhereWhat it means
InboxUnprocessed items (emails, documents)
Tasks & NotesTasks that are due or overdue
Count (Inventory)Items that need to be counted

Home Dashboard

The To-Dos card on your home page shows a summary of what needs attention, organized into collapsible sections for Buy, Make, Pending, Count, Import, Snoozed, and Resolved. Each section links directly to the relevant page.

How To-Dos Connect to Other Features

To-Dos bring together alerts, tasks, and notes from across Peasy. Each tab connects to a deeper feature:

  • Buy items come from Restock Points, work order input needs, and items you flagged to restock. You can also see many of these items on the Low and Order filter tabs on the Buy > Items to buy page.
  • Make items come from Template Gap Alerts and work order production needs. A red badge on Make > Items to make in the sidebar shows how many templates have gaps.
  • Pending items show stock already on order or in production, so you know help is on the way. Pending buy items link to Receive > Pending, while pending make items link to Work Orders.
  • Tasks and Notes come from Tasks and Notes, including follow-ups linked to records elsewhere in Peasy.
  • Count items show inventory that is overdue for a physical count based on your count badge threshold.
  • QuickBooks items appear when your QuickBooks integration needs attention: failed syncs, stale links, missed webhook events, new QuickBooks items waiting to be imported or dismissed, unmapped categories that block item sync, or token issues. If your token is about to expire, the item includes a Refresh button so you can fix it in one click. Other items link straight to the relevant section of Configure > Integrations > QuickBooks.

Good to Know

  • To-Dos update in real time as your inventory and tasks change.
  • The number on the To-Dos badge matches every card in your To-Dos Open view: buy and make items, your open tasks and notes, pending items, new Shopify imports, items needing a count, QuickBooks issues that need attention, snoozed items, and resolved entries.
  • Use To-Dos to drive your daily workflow: start each day by checking what needs attention.
