Tasks and Notes
Tasks and Notes help you track your to-do list right inside Peasy. Create tasks with due dates, add notes for your team, and stay organized without leaving the app.
How to Get There
Click Tasks & Notes near the top of the sidebar. A red badge shows how many tasks are due soon.
Creating a Task
- Click + New Task (or start typing in the input field).
- Enter what needs to be done.
- Optionally set a due date.
- Save.
Tasks appear in your list sorted by due date.
Completing Tasks
Click the checkbox next to a task to mark it as done. Completed tasks are moved out of the active list.
Recurring Tasks
Some work happens on a schedule — paying a bill every month, checking stock every Friday, calling a key customer every two weeks. You can set any task to repeat instead of recreating it by hand.
A repeat schedule belongs to the thread, not to each reminder — one schedule per thread, set once and shared by all its reminders.
Setting up recurrence
You configure the schedule when you create the first reminder on a thread (in the New Task dialog) or when you add a reminder from the thread detail panel.
- Set the reminder date — this is the anchor for the schedule, so it has to be filled in before recurrence is enabled.
- Flip the Repeat toggle on.
- Pick how often:
- Daily — runs every day, or every N days (e.g. every 3 days).
- Weekly — choose one or more days of the week. With interval 1 it repeats every week; with interval 2 it skips a week between cycles.
- Monthly — repeats on the same day of the month as your reminder date. If a month is shorter (e.g. February has no 31st), the task lands on the last day of that month.
- The summary line at the bottom of the picker confirms the schedule in plain English ("Every Monday", "Every 2 weeks on Mon, Wed", etc.).
- Save. A purple Repeating badge appears in the Reminders section header.
If the thread already has a repeating schedule, the Add Reminder modal hides the Repeat toggle — you can still add more one-off reminders, but the schedule is configured once per thread.
Editing or removing the schedule
In the thread detail panel, click the purple Repeating badge in the Reminders section header. The schedule picker opens — change the frequency, interval, or days and save, or toggle Repeat off to remove the schedule entirely.
What happens when you finish a recurring task
When you mark the open task done or canceled, the next instance is created automatically using the schedule and the previous due date as the anchor. You'll see a fresh open task with the next due date appear in the list. Toggling between done and canceled does not create another instance — only the open → closed transition does.
A daily background job is also a safety net: if anything goes wrong with the automatic creation, the missing next-due task gets generated the following morning.
Spotting recurring tasks in the list
Recurring tasks show a purple repeat badge next to the title with the schedule summary, so you can tell at a glance which items are part of a series and which are one-offs.
Notes
Notes are freeform text entries — use them for anything you want to remember or share with your team. Meeting notes, supplier conversations, reminders, or anything else.
The Home Page Card
The Tasks and Notes card on the home page shows tasks due in the next 3 days, giving you a quick glance at what's coming up without leaving the home page.
Good to Know
- Tasks are shared across your team — everyone can see and update them.
- The red badge on Tasks & Notes shows how many tasks are due or overdue.
- Tasks are simple and lightweight — they're not a full project management tool, just a quick way to track what needs doing.
