Business Settings
Business settings control your company profile in Peasy — your company name, Company ID, logo, email preferences, and appearance. These settings affect what your team sees and how your documents (invoices, purchase orders) look.
How to Get There
Go to Configure > Business in the sidebar.
What You Can Configure
Company Name
Your company name shows up throughout Peasy — on purchase orders, invoices, and anywhere your business is mentioned. Click on the name to edit it — changes save automatically.
If your Company ID is still auto-generated, changing your company name can also update your Peasy URL. If you’ve set a custom Company ID, your URL stays tied to that Company ID instead.
Company ID
Your Company ID is the canonical ID Peasy uses for both:
- Your Peasy URL, like
app.peasyos.com/sunny-foods - Your inbound orders email, like
[email protected]
You can edit the Company ID separately from your company name. As you type, Peasy checks availability and shows the result next to the field:
- Available — the ID is free to use
- Taken — another business is already using it; pick something else
- Reserved — that ID is reserved by Peasy and can't be used
- Saved — your change just committed (saves when you click out of the field)
Renaming is safe. Old Company IDs and historical inbound orders email addresses keep working forever, so renaming won't break addresses or links you've already shared. Old storefront URLs automatically redirect to the new one.
Logo
Upload your company logo to brand your invoices and Storefront. Click the logo area to upload an image file. Your logo will appear right away.
Theme
Choose how Peasy looks for you:
- Light — Bright, white background
- Dark — Easier on the eyes in low-light settings
- System — Matches whatever your computer or phone is set to
This is a personal preference — each team member can choose their own.
Email Addresses
Email reply-to addresses, CC lists, and the default email body templates moved out of Business Settings into two dedicated pages:
- Configure > Sell > Default Emails — Invoices reply-to, the inbound orders email, and the default invoice email template.
- Configure > Buy > Default Emails — Purchase orders reply-to, purchase orders CC, and the default purchase order and RFQ templates.
See Default Emails for what lives on each page and how to use placeholder tokens ({customer_name}, {vendor_name}, etc.) inside the templates.
Business History
The Business History section at the bottom of the page shows a timeline of recent changes to your business settings — name, Company ID, logo, email addresses, reminder preferences, and more. Each entry shows what changed, who changed it, and when. Use it as an audit trail when you're tracking down a configuration change.
Currency
Peasy operates in a single currency (USD) across the entire account. There is no currency setting in Business Settings, and you can't assign different currencies to individual vendors, customers, purchase orders, or invoices. Multi-currency support isn't available today.
Good to Know
- All changes save automatically — no need to look for a Save button.
- Your business settings affect the whole team, not just your account.
- You can always come back and update these later.
- Renaming your Company ID never breaks existing inbound emails, storefront links, or bookmarks — old IDs continue to resolve indefinitely.
