A discount is a reduction in price applied to a sales order, a vendor bill, or individual line items. In Peasy, discounts can be applied as a percentage or fixed amount.
How It Works in Peasy
- Apply discounts when creating or editing a sales order
- Discounts can be set per line item or at the order level
- Choose between percentage-based or fixed-amount discounts
- Discounts are reflected on invoices and in revenue calculations
- On the purchase side, a vendor bill can also carry a whole-document discount (percentage or dollar); a discount that arrives as a negative line on a vendor invoice is applied automatically
- Price lists handle ongoing customer-specific pricing; discounts are for one-time reductions
Why It Matters
Discounts give you flexibility to handle special situations — promotional pricing, volume deals, or making things right with a customer — without changing your standard pricing. They're tracked on the order so you always know what the original and actual prices were.
