Receiving Pending Items
The Receive page tracks every PO line item that's still waiting to come in. Each step below has a Show me button that lights up the compass on the matching control so you can see exactly where it lives.
The compasses live in the toolbar and on the table column headers. Visit Receive > Pending to see them all.
The tour
1. Go to the Receive page
Pending items waiting to be received live on the Receive page.
2. The Receive Pending table
Every row is one PO line item that still needs to be received. The columns track quantities, ETA, and the receive action.
3. Ordered column
The total quantity originally ordered on the purchase order. Stays constant — represents what you asked the supplier for.
4. Pending column
The key column on this page — how much is still waiting to be received. Decreases as you receive items, never below zero.
5. Received column
How much has already been received out of the ordered quantity (e.g. "5 of 10"). Useful for tracking partial receipts.
6. ETA
Estimated arrival date for this shipment. Click to edit it inline — this is what powers the "Due" quick filter view.
7. Quick filters
Use the quick filters at the top of the page to switch views. "Due" shows items past their ETA, "All" shows everything pending, and "Received" shows your receiving history.
8. Receive from scratch
Use the Receive button in the page header when receiving items that aren't on an existing purchase order. Creates an inventory receipt directly without a prior PO.
9. Receive from a purchase order
Click the Receive button on any pending row (or the item name) to open the receive panel. Enter quantity received, lot numbers, expiration dates, and any custom fields.
Tips
- ETA changes here update the PO too — single source of truth.
- Partial receipts decrement Pending and increment Received automatically.
- The "Received" view is your audit trail of every receipt.
