Sharing a Help Conversation

Send someone a link to a copy of your Help conversation. They can read what was said and continue from that point in a conversation of their own.

How to Get There

Sign in, then open the Peasy Help Center and start a conversation from Ask Peasy. After you have messages in the conversation, Share appears in the chat header. Guests can open and continue a link someone sends them, but cannot create one.

Create and Send a Link

  1. Click Share in the chat header.
  2. Read the note about what the link includes and who can open it.
  3. Click Create link.
  4. Send the copied link to the person you want to share with. If copying is unavailable, select the link in the Share link field and copy it yourself.

The link opens a read-only copy. Messages you send after creating it do not appear in that copy until you update it. If the conversation is long, Peasy tells you when older messages were left out and asks you to click Copy link after you review that notice.

Update a Shared Conversation

Open Share again to find the same link. If the conversation has new messages, click Update shared conversation to replace the saved copy. Everyone who already has the link can then see the updated conversation. You can click Copy link to send that same URL again.

Continue Someone Else's Conversation

  1. Open the link they sent you.
  2. Read the shared conversation.
  3. Click Continue to make your own copy and pick up where it left off.

Your new conversation is separate from the original. Continuing does not add messages to the conversation the other person shared.

Good to Know

  • Anyone with the link can read the shared copy, so send it only to people you want to see the conversation.
  • Files and images are not included. The conversation text may still mention them.
  • Sharing is available to signed-in people from Help conversations that have messages. Other Beacon conversations do not show this Share button.
  • You can keep chatting in the original conversation after sharing. The shared link changes only when you click Update shared conversation.
