Shopify Sync
Shopify sync is Peasy's integration that imports products and orders from your Shopify store. It connects your e-commerce catalog to the same system where you manage inventory, purchasing, and production.
How It Works in Peasy
- Connect your Shopify store from Configure > Integrations > Shopify, then manage it from Configure > Data Imports
- Initial sync imports your Shopify products into Peasy's import staging area for review
- You map Shopify products to Peasy items — linking them or creating new ones
- You choose whether inventory sync is paused, Shopify-to-Peasy only, Peasy-to-Shopify only, or two-way
- Shopify orders can flow into Peasy as sales orders and deduct inventory when Shopify-to-Peasy sync is enabled
- Peasy can push updated inventory counts to Shopify when Peasy-to-Shopify sync is enabled
Why It Matters
Shopify sync reduces double data entry. Instead of managing inventory and purchasing in both Shopify and Peasy separately, you manage real inventory in Peasy and choose how Peasy should share that information with Shopify.
Good to Know
- Peasy is the source of truth for actual inventory counts.
- Shopify orders deduct inventory in Peasy right away when Shopify-to-Peasy sync is enabled.
- The daily or weekly consolidated Shopify order setting controls grouping, not when inventory deducts.
- Normal Shopify inventory-count notifications do not overwrite Peasy inventory. Shopify counts can set Peasy inventory during initial import when enabled, or when you manually choose Sync Shopify → Peasy.
