Transfer Order

A transfer order is a document that moves inventory from one location to another. In Peasy, transfer orders let you track stock movements between your warehouses, stores, or production facilities.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Stage transfers in Inventory > Transfer, then manage them in Inventory > Transfer Orders
  • Select a source location, destination location, and the items to move
  • Transfer orders go through statuses: Draft → Created → Sent → Received (or Canceled)
  • Submitting from the Transfer page creates transfer orders in Peasy
  • Inventory is deducted from the source location when the transfer ships
  • Inventory is added to the destination location when the transfer is received
  • Transfers aren't tied to a specific lot — they move quantity between locations without recording which batches shipped. If you need batch traceability across locations, capture it manually in the transfer notes.

Why It Matters

Transfer orders provide a paper trail for stock moving between your locations. Without them, inventory would appear to vanish from one location and magically appear at another, making it impossible to reconcile counts or investigate discrepancies.
