Edit a Template Name
Renaming a template takes two clicks and saves automatically. Each step below has a Show me button that lights up the compass on the matching control so you can see exactly where it lives.
The compasses live on the Templates page list and inside the template configuration panel.
The tour
1. Go to the Templates page
The compasses for this tour live on the Templates page list and inside the template configuration panel.
2. Open a template
On the Templates page, click any template name in the list to open its configuration panel on the right.
3. Edit the name inline
At the top of the configuration panel the template name is a free-text field. Click it, type a new name, and press Enter (or click elsewhere) to save. There's no save button — changes auto-save when you blur.
Tips
- Renaming a template doesn't affect existing work orders that referenced it.
- For Finished Goods, the template name doesn't have to match the output item name — feel free to give it a recipe-style name.
